Complex House
Hi! So, here is another project. I know, I told here before that I am just an aspiring architect. I just do designs. I still don’t know if that would really make an effective house. BUT I hope so. So this is a complex house I made in 3 days. I’m so happy to finally made it.
Its best Feature is may be INDOOR GARDEN. If you could see, the indoor garden has stairs to the rooftop. The roof deck is huge but it could be a continuation of the indoor garden.

Hi guys and gals! I made a new architectural structure. This one is actually a restaurant. It’s very classy and suitable for big kinds of event like debuts, promenades and many more. This one I made is intended to be romantic as well that’s why it looked like this. If I put more plants like vines and other beauty instruments in here, it would be perfect!
WHAT DO I UNDERSTAND ABOUT A ROMANTIC STRUCTURE?
It should be colored red, pink, or yellow. Also, There should be many plants. There should be outdoor lights and the style should be classic with touch of modern like European Style. What do I imagine when I hear the word, “romantic”? Romeo and Juliet Balcony. This is the first one I thought about so I put two balconies there. Also, it should have arcs on windows. And the light should be yellow but not necessarily. That was just my point of view.

So here is the interior, I didn’t much focus on the interior, But there should be chandeliers and other light sources. If there was a mosaic, If you watched the movie “tangled” and saw the flower mosaic, that would be perfect. There are also two kitchens for the interior is so big to serve all people. Of course, the restroom is also there, but I didn’t put one! Haha! I forgot. There are still many other spaces for restrooms so there isn’t so much problem. I put a balcony inside with no stairs intentionally, Those are only just designs and way to clean windows.

Modern Bungalow
Hi guys and gals! 
Before I tell you about the real topic of this post, I want to share news for you. It’s just shallow. I am going to make a background for our musical play! I am going to paint with acrylic and show you FOR THE FIRST TIME how I paint with it. Hope you wait for my blog about it!
So, here goes the real theme of this post. A new house I designed in GOOGLE SKETCH UP 8. I made this as a request from a friend of mine. He wanted a modern bungalow that has style. I took the challenge and made one. Of course, before I could render this house, I went through several errors and need to do it from the start. I was able to think of this through research about how modern bungalows are nowadays and also I researched about cool styles of art to get me inspired!
My First problem was really this: I could imagine how would this house would look like but I could not transfer my imagination on the computer so I took so long to get the perfect picture. So here it is:

Hi!
It’s been a long time since I hast visited my blog! I really missed this! I was really busy with school so I didn’t have the time to paint and paint like before. AND I found a new discovery! I fell in love with architecture and design, well, I used google sketchup to contruct a house and I rendered it using kerkythea rendering software.
And another news, I’m starting to paint with acrylic medium! I studied how to paint with it and I tried painting for my project which will be an entry for a contest. I still don’t know the result. But I think I’ll start painting with acrylic and start posting again in my blog. BUT this time, I will be posting about architecture and design also. I think I’m starting to be open with new things and talents and I’m liking it very much. I just hope I get better in what I want to do everyday.
So, this is the house I made in Google Sketchup 8 and I rendered it in Kerkythea. I chose to render it with night style because I think the artificial lights give realistic effect to the house.
I also thought about rendering its front view, but this time the sun is the source of light. I’m only starting to learn about rendering with this software. I say, I still don’t have much talent at it but I have my hopes up!

Another Landscape
Hi everyone! I’ve decided to try painting again with a little bit of wanting to paint. I really miss painting. I did not copy any pictures here. I just searched for pictures for ideas. I made a landscape painting again. I only used watercolor paint and not an acrylic paint or any oil paints. But I really wish to use that medium someday!
At first, I wanted to make abstract but I thought of doing that when I’m ready for it. I would like to share you my latest painting to my art gallery (this site) haha.
It’s not that beautiful but its okay for me. I was contented because I’ve made something from my imagination again after so long. I also learned another lesson. I should not make and make paintings everyday because if there will be a time that I am down to make a painting, I will be more depressed. Now, let’s go back to this painting. I felt that I lack of concentration here. But I love how I painted the water and the tree trunk. I also think that I am starting again to learning about painting.
I realized that I should be really happy next time because it won’t really turn out good. I promise that I would do my best next time. I am sharing my painting to you because I also want you to see my mistakes or how I lack sometimes in painting and not just how good I can be in painting.

A problem!
oh…I am so depressed these past few days and I don’t know why. It’s not that I feel lazy but every time I want to paint, I can’t concentrate, I will just mess up in what I do. So, I could not paint. We went to the mall this morning and we bought some painting materials and painting mediums. I tried using it and I messed up. Now I am afraid to paint. It is so weird. Its been three days! Why? Why? How come?!
I just wish you help me guys! I know the answer why I can’t paint right now…. I’m not inspired… I’m not fired up… Can’t think of Ideas… and I can’t concentrate. I wanted to paint something new everyday but the problem is whenever I start to draw and begin with painting with watercolor or any other mediums, I can’t make a good color combination, I can’t think of a good strategy on how I could paint, I could not think of a way to color it with good things to make an atmosphere or a drama in the painting. I miss painting…
I was thinking of making an abstract painting but I don’t appreciate my abstract paintings because I make bad abstracts. I need to be inspired and be fired up now. It really is odd for me because when I started painting, I paint everyday and I never grow tired of it. I hope that will come back soon or later…
Sorry if I am not posting anymore of new paintings these past few days. I haven’t painted yet. But I will surely let you know if I painted something new. And I’m excited for that to come.

Vermont Barn
Hello Everyone, today, I saw a forum, a great forum. Its like a family there and I could take a look of their paintings and comment them. They are really good in painting too!
So there is a topic “weekly photo challenge” where the members submit a photo and other painters could paint it but there is a challenge of course and I think its fun! I saved the picture. Here it is:
The challenge is to make a painting based from the picture. We can use any types of medium and can change the color or the composition. And there is a date of deadline or sometimes date of target post. And this one is the latest. So I tried this. Since the challenge was to paint a picture based from this I did not copy it totally. I made some changes in the middle because while I was working, I just realized that I do not have to copy the picture. So I just made some few changes.
Here is how I made it:
First Method:
Light sketches first. Because the picture was very challenging and it really suits the weekly photo challenge for many painters. It took me one hour to sketch though. It was hard for me because it’s the first time I painted something like this.
After sketching, of course the usual. I made light washes. Unfortunately I don’t have the picture. After washing I went into detail. So here is the final picture:
When I was painting the colors, I just realized that I don’t have to copy the picture totally. So What I added was a house in the left side. and also I changed the look of the trees. And made my own shadows.
I don’t know if you’ll like it. Because was not so fascinated by it. For me, it was good. I was not just amazed by it. So what do you think? Is it good? What I like here is the grass and the barns. I just wish I could get better in landscape soon

Still Life ~ pitcher and mug
Hellooooooooo Guys!!! I’m back!! I made a new painting and I was really happy and this painting I made is really special. You want to know why? because if you see how It looks like, It look like I was not the one who did it! haha. By the way, I was so excited. Really really, really excited!!
I think I improved if you compare this word from the Church I painted. Later on, you will know what made this painting so special to me. Here is the still life subject I found on google. I picked this because I thought this will be very challenging for me to do. Something new and something I’ve been wanting to do. It will challenge me in lighting effects, from shading to detail and more
But though, it was not actually imitated. My painting was lighter in color than this. But speaking of lighting and details, I think It was good enough. This was very special to me because before I did this project, I read the book I was reading about art. I was learning first the tones, the details, the values and everything I need to learn about. I also read about how to do still life in watercolors. Later I’m going to show you how. That was what I learned.
So Here is my methods and the method I read on the art book:
I used many sizes of brush. I used a large flat brush for washing. For the very little light effects, I used a very thin Chinese brush. And for painting other parts, I used a watercolor brush and a small flat brush.
First Method:
The first thing I did was soft sketches. It was really hard for me to do the sketches and rubbed many times. So maybe it took me one hour to do this.
I also looked and looked over the picture to estimate size and measurement. It was a hard work but in the end, I made it successfully.
Second Method:
After the soft sketches, I did the washing just to guide me. The picture you are seeing now is not the wash I did. The first wash I did was a light but warm colour. I think it is peach color.
After that light wash, I washed it with its colors. it is just to guide me in painting. Because I was so aware of painting it with the right colors.
Third Method:
I went into detailing now. In the second method, I washed it with its original colors also because it helps me in detailing. If you notice, the pitcher and the mug’s color became lighter than in the second method.
I kinda messed up a little here – the shadows. But I managed to repair it. Also, in the light effects, it was sort of hard to do. There must be some areas that should not be painted because the white paper is the lightest tone that must be there. Thankfully, I managed to make a good lighting. After the cloth, the jar, I also fixed the detailing in the pitcher and mug. Also in the table and background.
FINAL:
I really went into detail. I made the background light in color so that the table, the cloth, the pitcher and the mug would be emphasized. I messed up in the background but it was okay. After detailing, I just add up touches to satisfy me. You can say that a painting is finish when you think you have express all what you want to express on the flat surface. So my last touches were just the shadows and lighting in the table. I painted the table brown but it got darker so what I did was flooded it with water and absorbed it with a paper. It was not that hard to make changes in watercolor medium. To make lighter areas in the table, I painted some areas with white paint. After the lighting, I went with shadows but that was not that hard.
For the background, there are some blue and light green painted on some areas. I made it by painting blue first but it was very watery and also with the light green.The shadow in the background was a mess but I think its alright.
If you compare my painting to the picture, it is much lighter in color. So, that’s it. It was very hard. I made it with no rest, no drinking water so I was thirsty after finishing. Haha, it took me three hours to finish but it was all worth it! I learned about tones and value. Tones and Value are really important in painting because it gives drama to the painting. While I was painting it, I learned all about it and a great look of a painting. That really made me happy .

What I learned about tone and value -
A simple way to understand tone is to thing of a colored photograph of a scene and then imagine the scene rendered as a black and white photograph
There is no shortcute in understanding tone.
Direction of light is very important.
Light and shadow and create atmosphere and drama in the painting
In watercolor, you always work from light to dark- the white of the paper will be your lightest areas.
My Header
Hello everybody! I really want creativity in my site too. My homepage theme or just theme is called vigilance. I love that theme because it enables me to change or customize my border, background, header, and the sidebars.
Since I like creativity so much, what I did was I changed the header in my theme. I collected pictures related to art. I searched the keywords, “art, creativity, passion, palette, abstract”. Then it resulted to many pictures that I could get. I got, as I can remember, 6 pictures. I used five of them. A picture of a palette, a heart, the word art and abstract paintings.
I used adobe photoshop to make a header. I cut some specific pictures and joined them together in a new document. THIS IS HOW I MADE IT:
The First thing I did was make the background gradient pink and then I move the word art there, lessen the opacity.The swirls behind the word art that I guess you can’t see were from the abstract painting also. I lessen their opacity too. The palette, the heart and the words only has 100% opacity and I forgot, also the green and pink swirls. Later I’m going to show you the pictures I used to make that.
The brush strokes you see (the yellow dots, the red paint near the word art) were made by me, I drew that there. The green and pink swirls also were made by me. Their textures were edited in watercolor textures. The words also has textures. By the way, the words creativity and passion and design by martha d tomas was my last step.
That’s how I made it. I am sorry I could not make my explanation wider because that is the only thing I can remember. I hope you could understand just by seeing the picture how I made it though.
